Trans fats, on the other hand, are often found in anything artificial and processed. Anything that contains partially hydrogenated oils will contain these fats and cause systematic inflammation when eaten in excess. 

Refined Carbohydrates

One of the most common things in everyone’s diet, refined carbohydrates are all around us. These carbohydrates are refined because they’ve had all vitamins, fiber, and minerals removed to improve shelf life. Things like white bread, rice, and things made by white or bleached flour are in this category. These items have a high glycemic index, one of the prime causes of rapid spikes in blood sugar.
